Photographer Jamie Hawkesworth debuts for the Miu Miu resort 2015 campaign with model Natalie Westling on it. Ok, forget those names... Giovanni Bianco's our man. Bianco has been in charge of the Miu Miu ads since SS10 and I consider some of those ads as epic! but, this time, the pictures are a total mess.
First of all, Natalie's face is mind-numbing and lifeless. It's a pity, since Jamie's very talented behind the camera and this is one of those few times Miucca features a model. But Gio, what have you done this time? The idea of juxtaposing images of nature with studio shots is an old one. It's just so off for me! The images' colors and nostalgic vibes are good, though. Alas, I find myself focusing on the nature shots rather than on the clothes.
